Dieser Satz leitet das Statement des Regisseurs ein. Die nachfolgenden Sätze führen den Gedanken nicht weiter (This film is dedicated to the memory of Enrique Ahriman, my friend and mentor, who died in 2002 in Buenos Aires).

Der *struggle* bezieht sich auf die langwierigen Vorbereitungsarbeiten und die ungewöhnlichen Umstände der Dreharbeiten (Laiendarsteller als Hauptakteure, die zuvor vom Regisseur in die 7. Kunst eingeführt worden waren). Beispiel:
