Sam Mendes verwendet diesen Ausdruck in seinem Director’s Commentary zu Revolutionary Road, den ich gerade untertitele. Die Bedeutung ist klar (s. Beschreibung), aber kennt vielleicht jemand den entsprechenden deutschen Fachbegriff?

We looked very long for this location.

And what we did was
what's known as a ***Mexican reverse***.

We shot the same restaurant,

you know, we moved that,
where they were sitting,

so it looked double the length.

Basically so it looked as deep
behind Leo as it does behind Jay.

But really it's actually
quite a small little space.
