The actor's Hollywood good looks don't entirely jar with our usual view of the money-lender, but at least we sense that ***he gives a damn***.
Mir ist der Ausdruck "not give a damn" als "einem völlig egal sein" bzw. " sich um nichts scheren" bekannt.
Liege ich mit meiner Vermutung richtig, dass man oben jedoch eher wörtlich übersetzen sollte, sozusagen dass der Schauspieler trotz seines guten Aussehens einen guten **Bösewicht** im Musical abgibt?
