English to German translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Computers: Hardware / Printer
English term or phrase: Form-feed / pin-feed / tractor-feed
Form-feed refers to a type of printer that uses a roll or box of paper or labels. These printers are sometimes referred to as “pin-feed” or “tractor feed.”

Diese Beschreibung erscheint in einem Software-Handbuch im Glossar unter dem Stichwort "form feed". Ich dachte ursprünglich, "form feed" hätte etwas mit der Zufuhrrichtung zu tun, aber anscheinend geht es ja um Stachelwalzen etc.

Wer kann mir bei der übersetzung dieser 3 Termini helfen?

German translation:Seitenvorschub / Traktor
Explanation:
Quelle "Computer-English, Thomas Irlbeck, dtv.": pin-feed und tractor-feed sind dasselbe. Dieses "or" (oder "ou" im Französischen) ist oft verfänglich und meint keine weitere Variante, sondern dasselbe anders ausgedrückt.
