Last year, the company also expanded its IP technology, introducing 100 Gigabit Ethernet with ***full edge services*** such as IPTV; a converged backbone transformation solution based on IP/Optical integration; and more. Plus, Alcatel-Lucent announced IP/MPLS service router contracts with 29 new customers during 2009, including new wins with Tier 1 carriers and cable MSOs in all regions.

Edge-Router: http://www.itwissen.info/definition/lexikon/edge-router-Kant... , die Übersetzung Kantenrouter ist aber nicht üblich, entsprechend für Edge-Protokoll und ähnliches.
Mein Verweis auf GSM ist offenbar irrig, die EDGE-Technologie muß aber nicht langsam sein: http://www.pressebox.de/pressreleases/infineon-technologies-...

agree  transcreator: wobei Edge aber hier so geschrieben werden müsste und was anderes bedeutet als bei gsm ;-)
