Was bedeutet "Estimator interface"? Unter Google habe ich nur einen Eintrag gefunden: Kalkulator-Interface
Kann man das wirklich so übersetzen?

Da es sich bei "Estimator" aller Wahrscheinlichkeit nach um einen Eigennamen handelt, könnte man es im Deutschen als Produktbezeichnung auch beibehalten. Das Dokument, in dem der Ausdruck auftaucht, scheint für mich jedenfalls darauf hinzuweisen, dass "Estimator" der Name des "Produkts" bzw. des "Services" ist. Es handelt sich m.E. nach dabei um eine Schnittstelle für Kostenvoranschläge bzw. Kostenschätzungen, die auf der Basis der Kundenangaben erstellt werden. Wenn "Estimator" unbedingt übersetzt werden soll, dann ginge "Schnittstelle für Kostenvoranschläge". |
