English term or phrase: DNS
If you are experiencing any abnormal behavior on the website such as getting logged out often, receiving the error 'web browser behavior could not be confirmed', or have a link take you to the wrong page you may need to flush the DNS

DNS either stands for domain name system or domain name server, but I'm also looking for the German equivalent (preferably in expanded form as well as the abbreviation, if applicable).
I'm assuming flush means "leeren"?

DNS-Cache
Explanation:
Source text does not seem to make sense. I think a word ("cache") is missing at the end, and that they are talking about the DOS command "ipconfig /flushdns" (lokaler DNS-Cache wird geleert).

DNS does, in this context, stand for \"domain name server\" (not for \"domain name service\"). See http://be.trendmicro-europe.com/enterprise/security_info/ve_...

DNS

Explanation:

-> You are certainly right but that wasn't the question. The question was how to translate DNS, if at all. Your answer is right but I'm afraid it's the answer on a different question.
