Explanation:
"Sichtfeld" is in the right direction, IMO. But a "Feld" is limited by a defined frame (usually).

field -> range = Bereich
viewing -> view = Sicht

Wird mit dem \"device on the monitor\" tatsächlich eine Webcma gemeint, dann muss ich meine ganzen \"neutral\"-Kommentare zu den anderen Antworten hier in den Wind schießen, denn dann wäre es tatsächlich \"Sichtfeld\":

neutral  Jerzy Czopik: mit Sichtfeld wird die gesamte Fläche des Bildschirms bezeichnet, hier geht es aber um einen Teil hiervon

  -> ist der Bildschirm als Hardware gemeint, dann ginge auch Anzeigefeld; handelt es sich um eine Software, würde ich Fenster schreiben; hier wäre der Zus.hang wichtig
