English to German translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Construction / Civil Engineering / Schweißen | | English term or phrase: butt welded splices | Im Text geht es um den Bau einer Rauchgasentschwefelungsanlage. In der Technischen Spezifikation wird die Montage am Aufstellungsort beschrieben, ebenso einige Schweißprozesse.
Es geht genau genommen nur um ein Wort, dessen Bedeutung mir noch nicht klar ist:
"All *butt welded splices* in beams shall be documented and tested by 100% PT-examination."
Bei "cracks" würde ich an Risse denken, aber davon ist ja hier keine Rede. Was bezeichnen diese "butt welded splices"? |

"Splices" sind im Stahlbau "Stöße", und hier genauer "Trägerstöße" (siehe Kontext "splices in beams"). "Verbindungen" ist zu unpräzise. "Butt welds" sind "Stumpfnähte" oder "stumpf geschweißte" (stumpfgeschweißte) Nähte".
