Explanation:
Also "Lebensmittelskulpturen" mag zwar Sachlich richtig sein, aber wenn es um ein Gala-Buffet geht, ist es sprachlich nicht angebracht.
Auf einem Galabuffet stehen keine einfachen "Lebensmittel", sondern fantastische Kreationen des Kochs.
Diese wären wahrscheinlich hochbeleidigt, wenn man das mit Lebensmitteln bezeichnen würde!

In untenstehendem Link sind auch ein paar Fotos. Könnt Ihr Euch selber ein Bild machen, ob Ihr das "Lebensmittel-Skulpturen" nennen wollt...

-> I am by no means advocating the (further) use of English in Germany, but the reality is that you can't get away from it, e.g. TIP magazine couldn't get by without it; I buy TIP for the movie schedules and never read the articles therein
