Asker: I think Andrea's on the right track. "Widerstand" was the word I was also thinking of, something that makes shaving less easy; the razor does not glide easily over the skin without hitting certain bumps so to speak.
Of course, in the end, this can cause "Verletzungen" but they are listed later and I don't believe this is meant with "drag".

Asker: Although the word "Widerstand" has a lot to do with this, there is no electric razor involved here and the word you propose would not be understood. I believe it's about bumps and grooves of the skin which cause the blade to "drag" across the skin instead of gliding easily.
There is resistance there preventing a smooth gliding action. Rasierapparat-Widerstand could mean resistance caused by the razor. But I have never heard or seen the word. Did you see it used somewhere?
