Die Genossenschaft vergibt zum Beispiel billige Mikrokredite in den Entwicklungsländern.

Hier würde ich für «development» einfach «Entwicklungshilfe» vorschlagen, nur «Entwicklung» finde ich komisch. Was meint ihr?

Ich stimme Hans und Annette zu - möglicherweise kannst Du das aber auch als "mit besonderem Schwerpunkt auf dem Entwicklungsbereich" übersetzen (klingt evtl. etwas "bedeutungsvoller").
