Was haltet ihr davon: "die negativen Auswirkungen der Krise auf das BIP"? ("BIP-Kosten" oder "BIP-Ausgaben" würde jedenfalls merkwürdig klingen, oder?)


How does Europe compare to the US during this crisis?

Although the center of gravity of the crisis initially was in the US, the European recession is actually every bit as bad. It’s hard to predict which recovery will take place sooner. One thing I will say is that ***the GDP cost*** is looking comparable on both sides of the Atlantic. The human cost is clearly much higher in the US because of the weakness of the social safety net and of employment protection.
