ich werde aus diesen "advance investments" nicht schlau. Es geht um engergieintensive Sektoren und dann auch um die Berechnung des Energieverbrauchs mithilfe eine Input-Output-Tabelle der Inlandsproduktion anhand sog. inverser Koeffizienten.
Ich dachte an Investitionen in Vorprodukte aus anderen Industrieprodukten.

In other words, it's possible the original "Vorleistung(en)" (or similar term in a Germanic language) was incorrectly translated as "advance investments" in the first place. Interesting ...
