Es geht um die Übertragung eines Versicherungsgeschäftes:
"The final UK Court hearing to approve the proposed transfer is expected to take place on...."
Ist damit die Schlussverhandlung gemeint oder die Hauptverhandlung?? Oder eher Anhörung??

Explanation:
Wenjer's "Schlussanhörung" (auch: "Schlussgehör") is correct, but I think this is used a bit more often - they are interchangeable (IMO).

Explanation:
In der Jura ist "hearing" immer eine Verhandlung bzw. Termin, nicht Anhoerung. "Final" ist hier in Unterscheidung zu "preliminary" (vorlaeufig): das final hearing ist also keine Untersuchungsverhandlung, sondern der Termin, an dem das Urteil abgegeben wird.

agree  Derek Gill Franßen: Das Gericht führt diversen Anhörungen durch, die Mehrzahl davon in Terminen oder im Rahmen von Verhandlungen, aber nicht immer - eine Anhörung kann z.B. auch im Richterzimmer oder vor Ort stattfinden (vgl. http://www.vaeterfuerkinder.de/kindanh.htm).
