English to German translations [PRO] Social Sciences - Education / Pedagogy / new learning program
English term or phrase:brain development programm
Hi colleagues!
This is a title for a learning programm for integrating the two sides of the brain.
Our current translation is "Lernprogram zur intellektuellen Entwicklung" Not good!
There is no context, but lots of explanation material. More information can be found at: http://www.ucmas.ca/about/
I'm looking forward to your suggestions! Um, I need this FAST!
Which is why is gave the Canadian site as a reference. The German site is poorly translated, as I mentioned to Gabriele. I really didn't mean to step on anyone's toes, but there you have it - even with small feet (size 35), it happens. After referring to my client, I have chosen Gehirnschulung, with a more lengthy explanation in the flyer.
Thank you all so much for your help and support! Have a Happy New Year, whatever that may mean to each of you individually!
And so it was taken. And I agree on the second count, too. the schooling here is to enhance and develop the communication between the two halves of the brain.
Well,
It was only a joke, meant to be a joke and not an explanation.
Nevertheless, you cannot "fördern" a brain. It is there, both parts of it, and it needs eventually stimulation and so on in order to make work several more of its existing parts.
A righthander having an accident with his right hand has to develop other functions in his brain in order to start handling things with his left hand. And these stimuli help you "develop" these brain parts.
(Hi to the horse.)
Grüße! This is flyer material. We are looking for the "absolut Aufmacher" that will attract potential clients. I think Gehirnschulung" comes closest so far, please post as a suggestion!
@Gabrielle The Austrian website is unfortunately hopelessy chaotic and poorly translated, though I appreciate your research attempt! It is exactly this "Gehirnentwicklung" that we are trying to avoid, as it sounds like a laboratory experiment. Sorry!
Gehirnschulungsprogramm
Gehirntrainingsprogramm
Das ganze Gehirn nutzen
Trainieren Sie Ihr ganzes Gehirn
So bringen Sie Ihr Gehirn in Schwung
Nutzen Sie beide Gehirnhälften
Beidseitige Gehirnschulung
Asker: Hello Alexander!
Yes, this is, of course, the correct, literal German translation. Would be perfect for a pre-natal program as they use in Japan, but not in this context. Thank-you anyway!

Asker: Dear Rolf,
I'm afraid in our school system this would be taken as a program for children with "Förderbedarf". thank you all the same!
Explanation: Dies wäre vielleicht auch eine Möglichkeit.

Asker: Dear Annett,
Yes, this is a nice suggestion. I would tone down the hype a bit, as it's not a simple solution and the schooling takes two years to develope it's full effect. So far, "Gehirnschulung" comes closest, but I will send this along to the client as well. thank you!
