"..Im leitenden Zustand baut sich durch den Stromfluß in der Spule ein Magnetfeld auf, das beim Ausschalten schlagartig zusammenbricht. Die Spule versucht nun die abgeschaltete Spannung zu erhalten und erzeugt eine Induktionsspannung.
Verwendung findet diese Diode parallel zu einem Relais, das bei sperrendem Transistor eine hohe Induktionsspannung erzeugt"
