in einem Handbuch für einen industriellen Generator wird beschrieben, wie elektrisch leitende Schraubverbindungen fachgerecht herzustellen sind:
(1) Ensure surfaces are flat and free from burrs at the edge of holes, also that they are free from oil, paint or grease.
(2) Coat the contact faces with a light even application of Unial compound.
(3) Close the joint and evenly tighten bolts.
(4) Ensure that a film of Unial is retained at the edges of aluminium to copper or Cuponal joints to prevent ***bi-metallic action***.
Ich gehe hier bei "bi-metallic action" einstweilen von einer galvanischen Wechselwirkung aus, bin aber unsicher, ob nicht vielleicht auch eine thermisch-mechanische gemeint sein könnte (wobei mir nicht klar ist, was daran das Unial ändern könnte). Gibt es vielleicht eine deutsche Formulierung, die beides zulässt? "Bimetallische Wechselwirkung" findet sich zwar vereinzelt, wird aber dann wohl nur für den galvanischen Effekt verwendet.

Das die Korrosion angesprochen wird, ist wohl eindeutig. Nun wird die bimetallic-corrosion auch Kontaktkorrosion genannt. Siehe:

Laut LANGENSCHEIDT FACHW'BUCH TECHNIK UND ANGEW. W'SCHAFTEN:
bimetallic corrosion: ISO 8044 ->galvanische Korrosion; DIN EN ISO 8044 -> Kontaktkorrosion.

Wenn ich nun noch im altehrwürdigen ALUMINIUM-TASCHENBUCH aus dem Jahr 1988 nachschlage, finde ich auf Seite 178 den Titel:
"Kontaktkorrosion (galvantische Korrosion)", was wohl nichts anderes bedeuitet als "Kontaktkorrosion, auch galvanische Korrosion" genannt".

Dann habe ich auch noch den HÜTTE, DIE GRUNDLAGEN DER INGENIEURWISSENSCHAFTEN, 1989:
Unter Korrosionsarten:
u.a.: "Kontaktkorrosion, örtlicher Abtrag eines unedleren Metalls beim Kontakt zweier Metalle unterschiedlichen Korrosionspotentials in einem Elektrolyten". Die Bedeutung "galvanische Korrodion" wird gar nicht erwählt.

Auch im DUBBEL, TASCHENBUCH FÜR DEN MASCHINENBAU, 19. Auflage 1997 kommt auf Seite F19 nur der Begriff Kontaktkorrosion vor, nirgends jedoch galvanische Korrosion.

Hallo Erik,
Es handelt sich eindeutig um galvanische Korrosion zwischen verschiedenen Metallen. (Siehe Webreferenz: Unial wird zur Vermeidung dieser galvanischen Korrosion verwendet).
Eine thermische Bimetallwirkung (wie beim Überlast-Bimetallschalter technisch genutzt) entstünde durch die unterschiedlichen Ausdehnungskoeffizienten der Metalle und könnte theoretisch zur Lockerung von Schraubverbindungen führen. Voraussetzung wären dafür aber Temperaturen an den Klemmstellen, die deutlich höher sind als konstruktiv zulässig.
