Tech/Engineering - Electronics / Elect Eng | | English term or phrase: back-haul | An dieser Stelle geht es recht allgemein und kurz um die Darstellung eines Unternehmens, das Audio-Lösungen für Unterhaltungselektronik bietet:
"In fact, [company] is the de-facto standard of HDTV audio processing with nine of the top ten name brand flat panel TVs featuring our technology. Additionally, [company] surround sound solutions provide the professional broadcast and recording industries with high-performance production, *back-haul*, storage, and transmission capability."
Ich bin mir noch nicht im Klaren darüber, ob hier back-haul ins Deutsche übernommen werden kann beziehungsweise welcher deutsche Ausdruck passend wäre. Hat jemand einen Vorschlag? |

Ich würde es wahrscheinlich so lassen. Alternativ wäre die Umschreibung "Anbindung an zentralen Netzknoten" möglich.

In Kommunikationsnetzen versteht man unter einem Backhaul eine Transportverbindung zwischen verteilten und zentralen Netzknoten, typischerweise zwischen Zugangsnetzen und Kernnetzen oder zwischen Access Points (AP) und Vermittlungsstellen. Bei Mobilfunknetzen bedeutet das die Anbindung der Basisstationen (BS) an den Base Station Controller (BCS). Und in der Satellitenkommunikation sorgt das Backhaul für die Verbindung zu dem Punkt von dem aus die Daten im Uplink zum Satelliten übertragen werden.
