This is from a catalogue with gifts for doctors. Any idea what "Set for Life" means?

I found some 'set for life' clockradios on google, but they weren't cheap!

It seems, that they set themselves. The German equivalent would be a 'Funkuhr' which is set by a radio signal.

Interessantes zum Thema Zeitsignal gibt\'s unter http://www.dcf77.com/

Empfehlenswert wäre auch die Nachfrage beim Hersteller, ob das entsprechende Signal am gewünschten Verkaufsort zu empfangen ist. Schlimm wäre, wenn es sich um ein amerikanisches Signal auf einer anderen Frequenz als das deutsche handeln würde. Auf den deutschen Funkuhren, die ins europäische Ausland verkauft werden, befindet sich beispielsweise eine Landkarte mit Empfangsumkreis.
