Black powder coated ‘Slam’ type door handles, hinges and leather check strap fitted to each door.
Maybe something with "zuschlagen"? and the leather check strap as "lederprüfriemen" or "Prüfriemen aus Leder"?
Help with the sentence would be much appreciated
BTW we are talking about the personnel access doors

Türgriffen für Selbstschließmechanismus

Explanation:
Oder: "Türgriffen für selbstschließende Schlässer".
Ich habe bewusst hier nicht "Sebstschließ-Türgriffe" gewählt, da es das erstens nicht gibt und auch faktisch nicht korrekt ist. Der korrekte engliche Ausdruck ist "slamlock", was mit "selbstschließend" wiedergegeben wird (siehe zweite folgende Site). Im Grunde ist der englische Ausdruck eigentlich nicht korrekt, da es sich nur um "Knopftürgriffe" odr so was handeln kann, die vorzugsweise an "selbstschließenden Türen" angebracht sind, im Gegensatz zu "Hebeltürgriffen", die meist an verschließbaren Türen vorkommen.

"Check strap" ist das "Türhalteband", hier aus Leder gefertigt. Also:

"Ledertürhalteband" oder "Türhalteband aus Leder".

IMO there may be a comma missing between door and handles: slam-type door, handles ...

So that would be: selbstschließende Tür, Türgriffe ...

BTW: check strap IMO is a strap used to keep the door open ...
