More than 40 years ago, XX engineers developed the fired wedge connector that connects overhead power lines.
Over the years, the product—known as the AMPACT tap connector—earned a reputation in the power utility industry for its long-term, highly reliable performance.
Today it remains the ideal connector for handling the world’s constantly-increasing power usage.
However, unlike other “bolt-style” connectors, which are installed by linemen using an ordinary wrench, the fired wedge connector requires a special tool that “fires” the connector to the line using a mechanism powered by a shell filled with gun powder.

Habe lange gesucht und keinen festen begriff gefunden. Aber Schussgerät (man sehe sich bei HILTI um) passt in den Kontext und Keilklemme ist auf dem Freileitungssektor der bessere Fachausdruck als Keilverbinder.
