Dabei geht es im Wesentlichen um "switch rollers" (Zungenrollvorrichtung zur Umstellung der Weichenzunge bei einer Eisenbahnweiche). Diese Vorrichtungen werden auf Weichen mit beweglichem Herzstück angebracht.
Hier geht es um Unterlegscheiben:
"The Belleville washers
Since commencing installation of rollers, the staff has noticed that the amount of lift required at the chair plate adjacent to the roller to get the required *lift at the tip of the switch* varies by a number of millimetres. In case of rollers that need a substantial amount of lift, as the train goes over the roller, the downward force exerted is substantial. [...] Where the staff has found fractured washers, it has added two more washers to the stack increasing it to 11."
Mit dieser Stelle habe ich noch ein paar Probleme. Switch könnte eine Verkürzung für switch roller (Zungenrollvorrichtung) sein. So ganz klar ist mir der beschriebene Vorgang und das Eingesternte aber nicht. Kann mir da jemand weiterhelfen? |

dass der Betrag, um den am chair plate angehoben werden muss, damit an der Weichenzunge die erforderliche Anhebung (= dieselbe Hoehe) erreicht wird, um ein paar mm abweicht. Daher werden dann mehr Tellerfedern untergelegt (weil die vorhandenen durch den Niveauunterschied zerbrochen sind)
Das ist das Prinzip; soll keine elegante Formulierung sein |
