Leider nicht mehr Kontext, als dass es um Spritzpistolen geht.

Explanation:
"Hörner" stehen wie "Ohren" auch vom "Kopf" ab. So werden die "ears" jedenfalls in einem deutschen Propekt bezeichnet. Siehe unten genannter Link zu Spritzpistolenprospekt, S. 12 "Hornbohrungen verschmutzt oder verformt."
Passt meiner Meinung nach der Form nach gut ins Bild.

Explanation:
Hallo!

Ohren bzw. Flügel scheint es bei diesen Kappen nicht zu geben, aber Löcher, durch die Druckluft kommt, und die können auch verstopfen.

Hoffe das hilft.

disagree  Rolf Kern: Bei einer Spritzpistole hat wohl der Begriff "Saugkappe" oder irgendein anderer mit "Saugung" in Beziehung stehender Begriff nichts zu suchen.

Explanation:
Ob das jetzt Hörner, Ohren sind, oder ein Luftkopf, ein Kopfstück oder eine Farbstrahlregulierung ist, ist hier doch eigentlich nicht von Belang.
Der Düsensatz besteht doch im Allgemeinen aus Farbnadel, Farbdüse und Luftdüse/Luftkappe (mit 2-12/16 Öffnungen). Das Buch nehme ich doch nur mit dem Gerät zusammen zur Hand, oder ich weiß schon, wie das Gerät aussieht.
Meines Erachtens kann hier auf genauere Bauteilbeschreibung verzichtet werden, weil überflüssig.
