Tech/Engineering - Engineering: Industrial
English term or phrase: die
XZY is a valuable tool for validation, calibration, and machine setup of heat sealing, ultrasonic welding, and RF welding processes during food and drug packaging.
XZY reveals weak spots, die wear, die planarity and warping, channels and wrinkles in accordance with GMP compliance protocols.

TIA!

Thanks to everyone! All answers are possibilities and I was lucky to get a reply from the client in time. He said it's part of the cutting tool. So I went with the more generic Schneidwerkzeug.

STEMPEL

Explanation:
In the sense of the text, I think that you are on the right track. It is a reference to measuring tool wear, its including flatness and distortion. Without more specific information on the tooling STEMPEL seems to me to be a good generic choice.
