Es geht hier um Wärmepumpen für Schwimmbecken. Ich würde gern von euch wissen, wie ihr "blanket type insulator" übersetzen würdet.

An alternative is the use of a liquid which, when added to the water, forms a thermal barrier one molecule thick on the surface. The additional benefit is that there is no requirement to roll and unroll a ***blanket type insulator***. The pool appears as of now. This material has been fully tested and approved by governments.

Asker: Dann hat diese Benennung doch keine tiefgründigere Bedeutung? Die Benennung "Abdeckplane" habe ich schon vorher für "cover" verwendet. Vielen Dank, Teresa!

neutral  Teresa Reinhardt: very creative - die "zu isolierende" Decke ist eine Zimmerdecke, und die Isolationsdecke hat 16 hits...das sind die Metallfoliedecken (space blankets....)

  -> Gruß, Teresa - wenn man von technischen Begriffen spricht, so ist nicht die Kretivität, sondern Funkzionalität ausschlaggebend. Es handelt sich um Tech/Engineering - Engineering (general) / heat pumps und nicht um Marketing, nicht wahr? :) MkG
