A gas measurement device that consists of a multiple-ported Pitot tube installed inside a pipe through which gas is flowing; it is installed perpendicular to the flow of gas. The length of the annubar is equal to the diameter of the pipe in which it is installed. An annubar senses the difference between total flowing pressure and static pressure; gas volume is calculated from this difference.

Mit dem "annubar", oder Multi-Pitot-Sonden-Differenzdruck-(Staudruck-)Durchflussmesser kann der dynamische Druck über das Geschwindigkeitsprofil gemittelt gemessen und (nach dem Prinzip des Prandtl'schen Staurohres) auf der Bernoulli-Gleichung basierend berechnet, dadurch der Durchfluss ermittelt werden.

No  Gunter Prediger: As already mentioned alsewhere - the English term ANNUBAR is a registered tradename and should not be included.

  -> das war ja meine eigene Rede von Anfang an (vgl. auch meinen anderen Vorschlag), nur wird der Ausdruck auch ohne Bezug auf Warenzeichenschutz gebraucht, daher meine Ansicht: vorsichtshalber meine beiden Vorschläge zusammen aufnehmen !
