Für "historic" würde ich "vorhanden" wählen, weil "historisch" in eine Zeit weist, wo noch nicht nach Erdöl gebohrt wurde. Wie alt die "historischen" Bohrungen sind, geht aus dem Kontext leider nicht hervor.
Das mit den "Bohrungen" ist wirklich schöner und professioneller.
Das weitere ist ein interessanter Aspekt, aber ich würde dem so nicht zustimmen. Häufig gibt es Bohrungen, die 30 oder 40 Jahre vorher gemacht wurden. Entweder wegen der damaligen niedrigen Preise (=niedrige Erträge) hat man das nicht exploriert, und greift das heute wieder auf, oder, da hast Du recht, mit der damals vorhandenen Technologie hätte das nichts gebracht, und heute geht es doch.
Da trifft natürlich Dein Argument mit der 'herkömmlichen' Technologie voll ins Schwarze. Aber wichtiger erscheint mir trotzdem, dass man diese 'historischen' Bohrungen für eine erneute Entscheidung wieder bearbeitet. Gruß,W.
