Mehr gibt es leider nicht, da ich von 50'000 Wörtern nur 3000 übersetzen muss und überhaupt keinen Zusammenhang habe, weiss auch nicht, was für eine Maschine das sein soll. Auf jeden Fall heißt "craft" nicht "Schiff" oder sowas heißen.
...einem Schwimmer an, wie er in Kraftstofftanks im Auto vorhanden ist, um den Tankinhalt zu messen. Aber ohne mehr Kontext ist das schwierig. Ich sehe, dass Bernd sich schon gemeldet hat :) Er ist immer eine gute Quelle, wenn es um technische Sachen geht! Viel Erfolg!

Explanation: Ich versuche mal, mich möglichst allgemein auszudrücken, weil der Gegenstand überhaupt nicht klar ist:
to record flow readings = Durchflussmessungen registrieren
"craft" ist demnach das Gerät, was dazu dient.
Volumenstrom ist ein Begriff aus der Lüftugnstechnik, die Flüssigkeiten spricht man von Durchfluss oder Strömung. Manchmal ist auch "Durchsatz" angebracht, z.B. bei Stückgütern.
"craft" wird meist mit Gewerbe, Handwerk, Kusntfertigkeit, aber auch mit Fahrzeug oder Schiff übersetzt. Gemeint ist auf jeden Fall eine ausgefeilte Konstruktion oder intelligente Apparatur.

Mein neuer Vorschlag lautet "Gerät für die Pegel-Registrierung", bzw. "Gerät (Rekorder) für die Spiel-Messung"
