| | Reduzieren, wiederverwenden, recycling | Explanation: I have heard "recycle" before in Germany, but never "reduce" for "reduzieren." I had tried to find 3 W's
for your 3r's, but I did not, i.e.
recylce-wiederverarbeiten, wiedergewinnen
reuse-wiederbenutzen
reduce-reduzieren, verringern (here lies the problem)--and the others are rather long and Germanic. I found a neat website who gives some alternatives for your 3r's:
http://home.t-online.de/home/w.eichelberg/w-3.htm
reduce-reduzieren
reuse-erneut verwenden, wiedergebrauchen
recycle-regenieren (however, with recycle, I would opt to leave it as is)
Go to this page:http://www.gruener-punkt.de/de/
It is also translated into English and
you will find the extensive use of Recycling in German language. However,
reuse and reduce are NOT used. Matter of
fact "reduce" is with "entsorgen" uebersetzt. They have many useful links
on this site--again in both languages.

| Grading comment Thanks for the time to do some research on my question. I was not quite satisfied with the results and started a google search of German pages - voila! I found exactly waht I needed. The Germans use the slogan: Reduzieren, Ressourcen schonen, Recyclen! Thanks anyway! 2 KudoZ points were awarded for this answer |
