Explanation:
"Slash and mulch" heißt das Prinzip, nach dem gerodete Vegetation zu Mulch verarbeitet und verwertet wird, im Gegensatz zur Brandrodung.
Auf vielen deutschen Internetseiten wird auch der englische Begriff verwendet, aber ich traue mich trotzdem mal, "Mulchrodung" vorzuschlagen :) Sicher bin ich mir hier aber nicht, da auch google kaum Treffer dafür anzeigt.

2.1.3.2 Mulchwirtschaft/ Slash-and-Mulch
Das augenfälligste Merkmal der Mulchwirtschaft ist der Verzicht auf jegliche Form der brennenden Flächenvorbereitung. Bei den von WATTERS (1971) und THURSTON (1994) angesprochenen Verfahren der Mulchwirtschaft von Naturvölkern in Regenwaldregionen wird ebenfalls die Vegetation zunächst gefällt. Im folgenden Schritt wird diese jedoch nicht verbrannt, sondern als Deckschicht und Nährstofflieferant auf der Fläche belassen [KATO ET AL. 1999].
Bei jeglicher weiteren Bearbeitung der Fläche ist jedoch das sperrige
Pflanzenmaterial hinderlich, so dass eine Zerkleinerung dringend angeraten ist. Die vor oder nach dem Fällen gesäten oder gepflanzten Kulturpflanzen wachsen durch die Mulchdecke hindurch.
