Die Speichelsekretion erniedrigt sich. Der Wassergehalt sinkt und dadurch erhöht sich die biologische Last an Enzymen. Wirkt dadurch, als wenn man mehr speichelt. Der Viskosität erhöht sich und benetzt den Mund besser.
