English term or phrase: hardlandscaping

Landschaftsbebauung
Explanation:
You will not find either of the "English" words you cite in Google.
The proper spelling is: "hard landscaping" and "soft landscaping".
You are right that hard landscaping generally involves building, whereby it can also be paving of roads or even the making of paths. Soft landscaping involves horticulture.

Clarification: my \"building\" above would be walls or stairways, not buildings.

Landschaftsgestaltung

Explanation:
The word you've suggested covers this adequately; but the problem is that this doesn't relate primarily to buildings, but to laying paths, patios, carports and other surface features. So I guess it'll be necessary to go into a little detail....
BTW, the expression is "hard landscaping" by a googlejority of 132 to 567,000....
