im Deutschen am ehesten mit 'Lastschrift' vergleichbar: Die Miete wird per Lastschrift vom Konto des Mieters abgebucht.

Irgendwie scheint mir das US-Bankensystem noch in den Kinderschuhen zu stecken.

Eine weitere Bezeichnung bei deutschen Banken ist "Abbuchungsverfahren", der Unterschied besteht in der Widerrufsmöglichkeit.
