Ob es allerdings eine Übersetzung für diesen Begriff gibt kann ich leider nicht sagen. Es handelt sich hier allerdings nur um die Rute, ohne Leine und Winde.

Mooching translates as to loiter or to idle. The rods allow the user to place the bait in a position where it can appear to be of no importance and allow the fish to stalk the prey. The word is shown in many German catalogues ( in English, no translation) It is still rather strange to use this as a description for a rod, normally the technique would be carried out by the user.
