Auch hier, ich bin davon überzeugt, dass es für "pegs" bestimmt einen deutschen Ausdruck gibt. Nur habe ich ihn leider nicht gefunden

Angelpfahl
Explanation:
A platform is a raised area where one can see the area better, normally one becomes a place where one can fish, the areas are staked out with pegs to show the area which each person has.

mark out claims - or was it the other way round? Fishing may possibly go back further than prospecting for gold, I really don't know.

S W, each of the anglers here has a "peg" (I do not know if this is literal), but there clearly no "platforms" here:

I think it originates from the peg, or stake used to

David Moore
:
These "Angelplattforme" only represent one "peg", or perhaps "Pflock" in German?

this seems like a logical explanation
16 hrs
-> Thanks, Goldcoaster, platforms seemed rather strange for fishing.
neutral
David Moore
:
It's certainly a good definition, but I'm unhappy with the "-pfahl" - that just doesn't look right at all...
19 hrs
-> As an inexperienced fisherman I only know that each fisherman is allocated an area, pegged out, marked out or staked out.

Why did the menu change?
The updates to the menu were made to make the site easy and more intuitive for visitors. Obviously, like any change, this may take a few days to get used to.
The dropdown menus have been divided into two-dimensional panels with similar items grouped together under headings. This eliminates scrolling for those with smaller screens, and also improves readability.
More information on the changes...
Where is the "My ProZ.com" menu?
Mouseover your name at the top of the screen. Here you will find information about your account, your email settings, and more. The "My ProZ.com" menu was moved up here to simplify the main navigation, and to keep all of this type of information together.
I cannot find something
