English term or phrase: Rice
How can I say in german the process of the rice becoming white? First the rice is separated from the stones and brocken rice and then, it is mill with a stone and it becomes white as we know in our plate. How can I say this in german?

Explanation:
Weißer Reis wird nach dem Schälen geschliffen und poliert. Die enthaltene Stärke kommt zum Vorschein und verleiht ihm seine helle Farbe. Mit dem Entfernen der Schale und des Keims gehen jedoch auch viele wertvolle Inhaltstoffe verloren. Dafür ist die Garzeit der weißen Körnchen etwas kürzer und ihre Haltbarkeit verlängert
