English term or phrase: wear shoe
Cost of wear shoe

Es geht um die Messerausrüstung einer Sägeanlage. Leider steht der Begriff "Wear shoe" nur als Fußnote am Ende einer Tabelle zu den Daten der Produktionsanlage. Sind hiermit einfach nur die Verschleißkosten gemeint?

Verschleiß Teile
Explanation:
My guess is that is that it is a part of the saw that guides (the blade perhaps)and is designed as a replacement part.

Verschleiß Teile is commonly used for such an item.

Haltevorrichtung

Explanation:
The term 'wear shoe' is clearly a piece of equipment; I'd suggest 'Haltevorrichtung' till something better turns up

Just got your e-mail. I understand. So the French (in German) would be \'Neubearbeitung der Abnutzungsscheiben\'(?!!) There is something very strange \'afoot\' here, I\'d say. Where did the French translator get the expression \'wearshoe\' from? \'Verschleiß\' can be expressed as \'wear and tear\'; but the shoes? I\'m almost left wondering if the text was machine translated first of all, and the machine somehow read \'chaussure\' (shoe) for the \'d\'usures\', though that seems a bit far fetched. The muddle on the other hand, even in the French it seems, might explain the fact it was not a human translator who was initially responsible. You\'ll somehow have to get back to your outsourcer, I suspect.
On the other hand if he/she thought they could serve you up such nonsense, the \'English\' is already there, so leave it - you\'re wasting too much of your precious time on them anyway, I\'d say. [Den Kopf nicht hängen lassen!]
