Ich fand den Ausdruck in keinem Online-Wörterbuch und Google erbrachte Treffer nur im Zusammenhang mit Schneidemaschinen.

Explanation:
würde ich mal drauf tippen;

spontan dachte ich an Lasur oder Politur, doch die sind ja nicht aus Harz, sondern eher gegen Harz ;-)
