Googling for "toothbrush refill" or "Oral B refill" does inded show that "refill" is widely used to describe replacement toothbrush heads. I find this surprising, since I wouldn't have called these "refills" (it seems a mis-use of the word) but the word seems to be used by manufacturers themselves. That being so, I assume that "gentle" refers to special replacement heads that are particularly gentle on the gums - it's certainly true that yuo can get a number of different types of replacement head for your toothbrush, so I would have thought that "gentle" is just one of these types. |
