Textile applications must be railroaded. Textile applications are standard with single needle top stitch. Leather applications are standard with double needle top stitch. Please note that the ottoman stitch detail is applicable on top seams only; side seams for both textile and leather are single blind seams.
Ich vermute, dass es so etwas wie zusammenfügen (durch einen speziellen Stich?) heißt.

Railroaded - Describes the orientation of a pattern's direction. When looking at a railroaded pattern, the filling yarns are in the vertical direction, while the warp yarns are in the horizontal direction. Some industries and manufacturers prefer railroaded patterns, while others prefer up-the-roll patterns for their application. For example, a sofa upholsterer may prefer a railroaded pattern in order to avoid excessive seams and waste fabric.

I'm afraid I don't know the German term, but "railroaded" seems to be used quite often, e.g.:
Railroaded, darum eignet es sich sehr für Kissen die breiter sind als 1.40 Meter, in z.B. Wohnmobil, Boot und größere Sofas.
Kleinere Objekten sind natürlich auch kein Problem
