Ich habe die dritte Version verwendet, "Ergreife Dein Schwert, oder sei bereit zu sterben". Das erschien mir in dem Zusammenhang eines Videospiels am sinnvollsten.

neutral  Erik Freitag: Does not sound fine at all. In fact, it's wrong German. Should be "stirb".//The rest is grammatically correct. However, in my ears "lebe durch das Schwert" sounds like the sword was used during the process of birth. But I know I'm splitting hairs here.
