Ich möchte diese Kudozfrage vorerst zurückziehen, da der OS selber nicht weis, was das sein soll, und sucht nach möglichen sonstigen Varianten. Sobald die Lage klar ist, werde ich vielleicht wieder posten. Danke

Wenn ich bei meinen Spiele-Übersetzungen anfange zu raten, bekomme ich was auf den Deckel. :) Wenn der Kontext nicht eindeutig ist, wird immer der Endkunde um Erklärung gebeten. Von daher würde ich die Stelle anfragen und nicht "irgendwie" übersetzen.

Tell the OS (whoever that is) that a keep is a prison, but dias is not an English word.

is the full video game with all the strings and dialogues please. There was another question I put earlier - there were many strings like, built a house, a church, Cathedral, Granery, Masonry etc., All these are individual strings and in an application run-process on-line repesent the story of a video game.

Why don't you explain to the OS that under these circumstances translation is out of the question? Explain that translators need context.

But the subject is software strings and some text based descripition. The OS said the string length should not exceed 3% than the original, because the screens will not take them.
