Turnier / KO-System

Explanation:
"Blaess" got it right, but you might want to reduce the number of characters.

I think just putting Turnier or Turnier-Modus is probably best, but if there is confusion with other modi:

KO-Turnier oder KO-System (sudden death) also is a common term for videogame tournament modi, if that's what this playmode resembles.

Bracket alone would be the Auslosung or Losung or Paarung.

Arcade-Modus or Survival-Modus are another possible modi.

I was afraid you would say somethign like this. Now, how are single elimination bracket and bracket competition different? Are they even both different modi or something different alltogether?

I read the added context in the discussion and think that you can translate both Bracket Competition and single elimination bracket format as KO-Runde or KO-System. Maybe paraphrase it slightly, but I don't see a problem in the overall context.

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks. I like the idea of making it shorter but I already use Turnier for tournament und KO-System for single elimination bracket.

KO-Runde

Explanation:
In light of the added context, I'd rather use this term. It is somewhat of a distinction to KO-System, too, which can be used later in the paragraph.
