"Going forward" has fairly recently become a widely used and trendy phrase in the media and politics - politicans and business people constantly say things like "We are going to do X going forward", simply meaning "in future" or "from now on". So despite the misleading punctuation in this sentence, I have no doubt that it simply means "There is a place for comedy in X and Y in future" - this is entirely in line with the way people speak when they think they are being "modern".

Is it possible that the sentence might also mean: "There is a place for comedy in action games and there is a place for blockbuster games going forward (i.e. to go forward)." ?
I would like to hear what others think.

würde ich mal so sagen, bezieht sich aber wegen des Kommas vor "and" auf die blockbuster Games, und die sind das ja, nämlich immer populärer
