English to German translations [PRO] General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters | | English term or phrase: field day | I'm thinking for example about my local newspaper, the Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung, which is suddenly finding pages and pages of stuff to write about during the current "Kirchentag". In other words they're having a "field day" or "really going to town".
Leo suggests "Heidenspaß", but are there any other alternatives in German? Would for example "gefundenes Fressen" fit?
Thanks,
Croc |

| Grading comment Sounds like the best suggestion in this specific context, otherwise I guess "gefundenes Fressen" would probably work.
