Oder, wie es an anderer Stelle schön erklärt wird: "Der Zweck wird *durch* die Mittel geheiligt" (ist was vollkommen anderes, wie man sieht, als "der Zweck heiligt die Mittel".

Wenn aber der 'technische' Standpunkt sich auf diese Formel stützt, so muß der 'moralische' Standpunkt eine andere Formel besitzen. Ich glaube, daß sie ohne Schwierigkeiten erfaßt und festgelegt werden kann. Sie würde lauten: Nicht der Zweck heiligt die Mittel, sondern der Zweck wird durch die Mittel geheiligt
