"Ladies and Gentlemen,

first of all thank you very much indeed for that very kind and remarkably accurate introduction in which I recognized the main outlines of my obituary. ..."

Ich denke, dass der Redner hier scherzhaft die zuvor gemachte Ankündigung seiner Person mit seinem Nachruf vergleicht (wahrscheinlich weil alle Errungenschaften seines Lebens aufgezählt wurden). Ich finde im Deutschen keine passende Formulierung ("the main outlines of my obituary"). Vielen Dank im Voraus!!
