General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters
English term or phrase: between
"It takes many hours to complete the work, so I help out where I can.** Between us**, we manage to go through 2 tonnes of corn, then Aunty needs a break."

Is the meaning that of "between you and me" or "in private"? Then I can't see why the fact should remain private. Or is there a different meaning that I don't know?
Thank you for your help.

unter uns

Explanation:
Also ich verstehe das im Sinne von "unter uns gesagt"
Das steht doch in einem Dialog, oder?
