lose every time
you stand up?
A: Your lap.

Ich übersetze einen Elternbrief, der monatlich erscheint und auch immer ein Witzchen enthält. Den oben stehenden Witz kapiere ich einfach nicht - weil mir der Ausdruck "lose your lap" nichts sagt.
Wer kann mir den Witz/den Ausdruck erklären?

Explanation:
Erklärungsversuch: Wenn man aufsteht, hat man logischerweise keinen Schoß mehr (auf den sich jemand setzen könnte). Das soll wohl ein Wortspiel i.V. mit "eine Runde verlieren" (Lap im Motorsport=Runde) sein.
